The 4 Laws of Holes

Two men were trapped inside Pisces III, a tiny submersible that sank 1,600 feet, crashing on the cold, dark ocean floor. They were in deep trouble, with nothing to do but wait.

A few thousand years before, the writer of Psalm 130 found himself in similar trouble and looking for a way “out of the depths.”

The winner of 1911 race was Ray Harroun, who drove the 500-mile race in 6 hours and 40 minutes. However, it was something that happened the next year—1912 that caught the country's attention and made the Indy-500 the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”

Pastor McCowan spoke on how important it is to be strong, courageous, and faithful in finishing and winning the good race of faith.

June 10th

In Jim Collins’s book, Good to Great, a surprising discovery was made about great company CEOs. In Pastor McCowan's sermon, he shared this discovery and how important it is for us all to find true greatness.

July 8th

Pastor McCowan's sermon "Prison Life (Not)" was from Romans 6:12-23 and concerned why many people today do not want to leave prison.

It is as if people become accustomed to prison and like being locked up.

Pastor McCowan's sermon this weekend was entitled "The Race You Can't Lose."

The theme is how we can show evidence of sincere love in our marriages, friendships, and families, which enables us to persevere in the race of faith that is marked out for us. (Romans 12:9-21)

Sermon Title by Pastor McCowan - "What is more Precious than Gold?" Part 1

Our faith is more precious than gold because it can move mountains.

All it has to be is the size of a mustard seed. But what happens if the size of our faith is smaller than a mustard seed and is, in fact, microscopic? If we do, then what should we do about it?

November 11th

Pastor McCowan resumed his series on “What is More Precious than Gold?” Part 2

While his Part 1s' sermon was on the importance of and how we should nurture and strengthen our faith, Pastor McCowan spoke on the importance of keeping the Faith and doing so when it is hard. Again, Pastor McCowan will use the Heroes of Faith mentioned in the Book of Hebrews as our examples.
